FAQs
How is this different than a kitchen towel?
Our cloths are made from natural, biodegradable materials and dry much faster than traditional towels. They absorb far more liquid, work on more surfaces, and rinse clean without holding odors. Because they dry so quickly, they don’t create the damp environment where bacteria and mildew thrive.
How long do they last?
With proper care, one cloth can last over 7 months. It can be washed in the dishwasher or washing machine up to 50 times. If you hand-wash dishes often, simply rinse thoroughly after each use to avoid grease and soap buildup, which can shorten its lifespan. Most people prefer to refresh their cloth every 2–3 months — and when you’re ready, it can be composted.
How often should they be washed?
It depends on the mess.
For everyday spills, a thorough rinse and air-dry is enough.
For greasy or oily cleanup, wash after use.
In general, a cloth can be used for several days before needing a wash. For a deeper clean, place it on the top rack of the dishwasher or into your washing machine.
Are these towels antimicrobial?
Not in the technical sense. But because they dry very quickly, they don’t give bacteria time to grow or create odors. For extra sanitation, wet the cloth and microwave it for 40 seconds.
Can I use cleaning sprays with these?
Yes. They work beautifully with all standard cleaning sprays and are safe on any surface. Just rinse well after use and let the cloth air-dry.
Can they be composted?
Yes. Our cloths are fully compostable because they’re made from natural cellulose and cotton. They break down in about 8–10 weeks in a home compost and around 16 weeks in a landfill.
Can I put them in the dryer?
Air-drying is best. A dryer may cause shrinking and reduce absorbency.
What are they made of?
Each cloth is made from 70 % premium Wood Pulp and 30 % cotton — renewable, all-natural materials that are fully biodegradable and compostable.
When a cloth reaches the end of its life, it returns to the earth without waste.
Can they be used to dry hands?
They can, but that’s not their primary purpose. They perform best for wiping surfaces, cleaning dishes, and absorbing spills.
